Kanji List

Writing — earn up to 5 points in the Writing Test. Each correct answer is +1, each wrong answer is −1.

Reading — earn up to 5 points in the Reading Test, split between On’yomi (max 2.5) and Kun’yomi (max 2.5). You need both readings correct to score; half-correct gives no change.

Mastered — a kanji is fully mastered when both writing and reading each reach 5/5, giving 100% overall.

Drills (Flashcards, Speed Drill, Writing Drill, Weak Spots) don’t change mastery — use Writing/Reading Tests to build mastery. Kanji you see in drills are added to Smart Review when you're logged in.
